By using Procreate's paint bucket tool, you can fill a shape with a color. Remember the color picker tool in the top right corner? Touch and hold that circle with your Apple Pencil, stylus, or finger. Then drag the color to the shape you want to fill and drop.
Why is my color drop in procreate not working?
Start a ColorDrop, but keep your finger on the canvas until the Threshold bar appears. Drag your finger to the left to adjust the threshold down, and this will restrict the limits of the ColorDrop. Make sure you have the latest Procreate Manual: Threshold is covered on page 112.
How are lines colored in procreate?
To color inside the lines with Procreate, use ColorDrop to fill your shape with white. Turn on Alpha Lock for that layer, which will prevent you from coloring outside the lines of that shape. Another method is to use the Auto Selection tool, by clicking on the shape you want to color.
Why is procreate not working?
First try clearing Procreate and other open apps from multitasking, then power cycle the iPad. If that doesn't help, try a hard reset, holding down the Home and Lock buttons together until the screen goes dark, then wait a few moments before turning the iPad back on.
What does the clipping mask procreate?
When you activate a clipping mask, it clips your active layer to the layer below it. The visibility of the clipped layer controls the content and transparency of the main layer below. If the selected layer is the bottom layer in your Layers panel, the Clipping Mask option is not available.
Why is my alpha lock not working in procreate?
With alpha lock, the opacity of the pixels is locked, so you can't make them less transparent, if that makes sense. Also make sure your layer's blending mode hasn't changed. Please try posting a screenshot with the layers menu open so we can see how to help you out.
